People
always have their own reason to do something including the decision to get
married. Some of them may consider marriage is a need, some consider that
marriage is a way to perfect their religion, some get married because of the
demand of age and environment. On the other hand, in this modern era we also
can see many people especially female in the teenage getting married. The
majority with the early marriage comes from the family with the low education
and poor welfare. They think early marriage is the good solution to release the
burden in their family. They don’t consider the risk of the early marriage
especially for the female related to the forwardness of reproduction vital
organ and the psychology of the teenagers.
Early
marriage is not good for the reproduction vital organ because it can increase
the proximity of getting cervical cancer. In the age between 12-20 years old,
reproduction vital organ is still evolving so that it should not have an
outside thing, penetration of male sexual organ, inside them when the cervical
cell is active. Wherefore, the outside penetration is one of cervical virus’
causes. Another fact is that teenagers also haven’t been ready yet to be
pregnant. From the physical readiness commonly they don’t have enough hip bone
to bear the baby. A pregnant teenager also psychologically has worse condition
than pregnant adult. One of the common psychological interference is baby blue
syndrome, a condition where mother’s emotion and mood change drastic after
bearing the baby. Therefore, it can lead to mother’s depression. This situation
usually happens around 2- 4 weeks. These facts show clearly that early marriage
is the bad choice which can cause cervical cancer virus and it can bring to the
depression in some cases. Now let’s turn to psychology of teenagers in the
general.
Looking at
the teenagers’ psychology, we think that teenagers have unstable emotion and
somehow they still stay in the egoistic condition. In their age, teenagers are
still on their journey to find who they are exactly, so that they are still
selfish of thinking about themselves. We cannot deny teenagers still want to
explore more about all things, they also still count on their parents for
everything. It causes teenagers seem not having ability to solve the problem
when they are facing troubles with their partners. These situations effect to
the number of divorce. Based on BKKBN NTB, Nusa Tenggara Barat as the area with
highest early marriage 2015 also has the high number of divorce case which 21.55
% of them coming from teenager.
The facts
tell us obviously to oppose the arguments which aim is to strengthen and
consider that teenage marriage is good idea. In fact, teenage marriage only
gives the bad effect for psychology of teenagers like causing a divorce due to
their labile condition. From physical side, we know that early married can
cause some problems for health. This states that there is nothing to agree with
the statement teenage marriage is great idea.
